Aviator Assistant and ASA Sponsor NIFA Friday Night BBQ Social
Aviator Assistant and Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. (ASA) were proud to sponsor NIFA’s Friday Night BBQ Social, an evening dedicated to bringing together collegiate aviation students, flight teams, instructors, judges, alumni, and aviation industry supporters.
The National Intercollegiate Flying Association, known throughout collegiate aviation as NIFA, represents one of the most important communities for student pilots and future aviation professionals. Through regional and national competitions, NIFA gives students the opportunity to sharpen their aviation knowledge, build practical skills, and connect with others who share the same passion for flight.
Supporting the next generation of aviation leaders
At Aviator Assistant, our mission is centered on helping pilots, students, instructors, and flight schools work with better aviation tools. Sponsoring the NIFA Friday Night BBQ Social alongside ASA was a natural extension of that mission.
Events like this matter because aviation is not built only in classrooms, cockpits, simulators, or training syllabi. It is also built through community. The conversations after a long week of competition, the connections between students and industry professionals, and the shared commitment to safety and excellence all help shape the future of aviation.
Why NIFA matters to collegiate aviation
NIFA plays a unique role in aviation education by giving college aviation students a place to test their skills, compete at a high level, and learn from one another. Its competitions challenge students across aviation knowledge, precision, discipline, safety, and professionalism.
For many students, NIFA is more than a competition. It is a stepping stone into the aviation industry. It gives future pilots, dispatchers, instructors, and aviation professionals a place to grow, network, and build confidence before entering the next stage of their careers.
A night of food, connection, and aviation community
The Friday Night BBQ Social gave participants a chance to step away from the intensity of competition and enjoy time together as a community. Students, coaches, judges, and supporters were able to connect in a relaxed setting and celebrate the hard work that goes into collegiate aviation.
Aviator Assistant and ASA were honored to help make that evening possible and to stand alongside organizations that believe in supporting aviation education, student pilots, flight teams, and the future of the aviation industry.
A shared commitment to aviation education
ASA has long been recognized throughout aviation training for its pilot education, test preparation, training, and reference materials. Aviator Assistant shares that commitment through modern aviation software built for pilots, students, instructors, and flight schools.
Together, that combination reflects an important goal: giving the next generation of aviators access to better training resources, better operational tools, and stronger support throughout their aviation journey.
Introducing Pilot Path Pro for flight schools
For flight schools, instructors, and aviation training programs, Aviator Assistant also offers Pilot Path Pro, a flight school management and operations platform designed to help schools run more efficiently from preflight to checkride.
Pilot Path Pro helps flight schools manage scheduling, aircraft, instructors, curriculum, digital logbooks, endorsements, billing, student progress, stage checks, and training records in one connected system. It is built for schools that want to reduce paperwork, improve visibility, and keep students moving through training with a clearer path forward.
With support for Part 141-ready operations, ASA curriculum integration, digital logbook workflows, fleet and squawk tracking, student billing, and school-wide training records, Pilot Path Pro gives flight schools a modern platform for managing the daily work behind aviation training.
